Complete Interest FormNo experience with art or art therapy is required. The intention of this group is to deepen your understanding of yourself and your experience through the process of creating art, rather than creating a finished product.
Art as Integration
Join Missy Scherr-Phillips for a journey of self-exploration and healing where you can integrate your psychedelic experiences through the transformative power of art. Whether you're processing insights from Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) or other psychedelic experiences, art can provide a creative language to process, understand, and integrate your experience. In this six-session, closed group, you'll use a variety of materials to process emotions and invite your insights into your daily life.
Psychedelic Integration
Art therapy can be beneficial when traditional verbal therapy leaves you feeling disconnected from your process of healing. It can provide a unique therapeutic experience for expressing your thoughts and emotions when words alone are vague and hard to access. Using art to process a psychedelic experience, or any transition, can take the pressure off of having to make logical sense of it, and can allow you a space to process nonverbally.
The images you create are messages from within, usually from internal spaces where words don’t reach. Join us for this therapeutic art group where you can explore your inner world and make sense of what words may not be able to express.
Meet Missy
At Mind Body Wellness, Missy provides Art Therapy to help you understand yourself and to reopen spaces within you in a gentle manner.
At different times in our lives we find ourselves feeling lost, isolated, disconnected, and fragmented. During art therapy experiences, Missy works with you to untangle those stuck and at times inaccurate thoughts and feelings. The thread that carries throughout all of Missy’s experiences as an Art Therapist is compassion for the thoughts and feelings initially created to keep you safe, and an unwinding of what no longer serves you.
Missy has completed the level 1 & level 2 Certificate in Psychedelics and Art Therapy from the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute, and can offer a safe space for you to process and integrate your insights in a way that is supportive and makes sense to you.
