Dance Church

A monthly Sunday morning gathering to celebrate movement

11am start, doors open at 10:30am

Movement as Medicine

Join us one Sunday each month at 11am to gather in community and engage with authentic movement.

This monthly practice is a minimally guided, free-flowing movement practice designed for liberation, connection, and creative expression. No dance experience is necessary, and you are welcome just as you are. The dance is not choreographed, nor are there any expectations around your abilities.

Trust the wisdom of your body as you move, dance, and gather with others.

All are welcome.

Movement as Integration

Whether you're integrating a life change, a tough conversation, a new role, or a psychedelic experience, movement is a powerful tool to help you process. Verbally processing your experiences is vital, and also, that's just one piece of the puzzle. The somatic processing that can be done through movement is deeply impactful; the intention behind this practice is to help you remember the wisdom your body holds. Your system has deep intelligence to know how to heal. Here, you're welcome to shake, to move, to be still, to sit, to cry, to come as your authentic self and be witnessed in a non-judgmental space.

Meet Nicole

Hi there! I'm Nicole and I am a therapist, psychedelic facilitator, and the space-holder for your dance journey.

Why Dance Church?

I created this event as a reclaiming. I grew up attending church, and in my early 20's discovered that a structured religion no longer fit. Since then, my spiritual practice has deepened and developed into something that doesn't quite fit into words. I find spirituality in connection to the Earth, through my community, and through song, meditation, and movement.

When I left the church, I found a path towards being fully myself. I also lost something: gathering on Sunday's in community to sing and worship and be together was a beautiful ritual that took me a while to find elsewhere. It's a gap I'd love to fill for folks who are seeking a regular community gathering in a safe and supportive space.

My hope is that Dance Church is a way to reclaim a sacred meeting space where we can gather and lean into movement as a spiritual practice. My intention for this gathering is that you come as you are, regardless of your spiritual orientation, and move your body in a way that supports your healing.
